SHOWING APPRECIATION FOR BARTOLA

My name is Ashley Taylor, and I’ve been The Journey Kids intern this summer! I’ve been working alongside Bartola and learning from her wisdom, honesty, and love for children. She is awesome, and I have loved working with her! Bartola is one of the best people I know. I think that she has such a great ability to lead children and still have fun! She works so hard weekly to make sure that Sunday mornings run flawlessly. She plans the elementary and pre-k classes, making sure the volunteers know what they are teaching. Bartola is also such a fun person to be around; she livens up the office during the week and loves to joke around and laugh!
Bartola is originally from Honduras, and she has also become a missionary in Tulsa. Spanish is her first language, and so it is awesome to see her speak to other Spanish speakers who often come to the outpost. East Tulsa is very diverse and people come into the outpost who speak Spanish or limited English, and she is able to communicate with them and love on them. She is always very genuinely interested in people and hearing about their lives! I just admire Bartola so much, and I wanted to write a little tribute to her because she deserves to be recognized for all that she does. Everyone at The Journey loves Bartola, and she is an integral part of the church!

I agree totally Ashley. Blessings to you and Bartola!
From Amanda Madrid:
What can I say?. She is my oldest daughter and I have seen in her all the qualities you mentioned Ashley. I love her to death and I am very proud of her. I am also very thankful with the Journey church for being a great family to her and TJ . You all at The Journey are wonderful . Love you all,
Amanda
Ashley,Yes, Bartola is the best! And you know what? In addition to what you said about her, she’s also the best for hiring you as intern this summer! She trained you well and gave you opportunity to lead, and that’s what a great internship does. What a great learning experience for everyone, and I’m so happy it has gone well for you both. You and Barty work well together, and I enjoyed hearing you laugh together this summer. Bartola has had a strong connection to all the Taylor ladies, including Ashley and all said above, Anna (who Bartola met in Honduras a few years ago, and gave Anna a first experience in medical missions that has been one influence on her studying to become a nurse), and Jill (who brilliantly had the idea to hire Bartola as children’s minister!). I love you both, Ashley and Barty!
So true…so true! XOXO (hugs etc..not the other stuff!)😍
