SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY PREVIEW
“But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, ‘Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I have given them.'” -Numbers 20:12
We’ll be covering Numbers 17-20 this Sunday morning. We’ll cover the budding of Aaron’s staff, which signified his true place as God’s chosen spiritual leader for the Israelites, the jobs given to priests and Levities, and finally, the water from the rock. In his frustration, Moses strikes the rock not once, but twice. He did not simply speak to it as God had commanded him. Read Numbers 17-20 with your family this week.

Can you think of a time when you didn’t follow directions? What consequences did you have to face as a result?
Do you think it’s fair that God did not let Moses lead the Israelites into the promised land because he struck the rock twice? Why or why not?
