While David is forgiven for the sins he commits, there are still consequences for sins in his house. In 2 Samuel 13:1-39, David’s sons take matters into their own hands when David fails to discipline his son for a terrible sin.

In today’s Journey Bible Project blog from 2 Samuel 14:1-33, we learn of a prophetess who has a message for David.

God does not abandon David after his terrible sins. David confesses but there are still grave consequences for his sin. But God is faithful and a son is later born who David calls, “Loved by God.”

Have you ever been confronted by someone for a sin you’d committed? How did you respond. Today we look at David’s response to being confronted for grievous sins (2 Samuel 12:1-10).

David’s triumphs were not all in battle. In this tender story of Mephibosheth, David triumphs in mercy.

Why does God give David victory wherever he went? We’re not exactly sure, but we are told God loved David, even after his sin with Bathsheba (2 Samuel 12:24-25).

Do you become overly self-aware in worship? Are you willing to become undignified in order to worship how the Holy Spirit is leading you to worship or serve? David in 2 Samuel 6 becomes very undignified, but why? What happens when he really worships without any thought of how he looks?
