My wife, Jill, and I have three children: Ashley, Anna, and Jacob. We live in Broken Arrow and I preach for The Journey: a New Generation Church of Christ in Tulsa (www.thejourneychurch.faith). I have a B.A. in Journalism and an M.Div. from Harding School of Theology in Memphis, Tennessee. Before coming to Tulsa, we lived in Nashville, Tennessee four years, where I worked with The Zoe Group and Wineskins Magazine. From 1994-2001 we lived in Jinja, Uganda, where we worked with a church planting team, an experience that forever changed our lives. Excellent post.
God wants us to learn more and more about Him. It takes so much more than reading it takes studying. It does strengthen our souls when we study. I stress to the congregation that I work with that there is a difference in knowing about God and knowing God. God wants a relationship with us. I believe for so many years we in the CofC have confused the two. We know about God, but we don’t know God personally. Again, excellant post. I want you to know that I am looking forward to reading more of your blog and have been blessed by your blog. Your ministry is in my prayers. May God bless you as you serve Him. I hope you have a great week as you serve Him and continue to make a difference in the Kingdom.
