Our church witnessed a divine moment this morning when Toni Lee, a friend of my daughter and friend to all, was baptized by her mother, Robin, and good friend and one of the adult leaders of the students, Deannie Johnson. Toni was surrounded in the baptistery by a dozen girls all with their feet in the water to show their participation. Several got in with her at the end as we sang and celebrated. They all signed a Bible for Toni, and Deannie said, “The angels get to celebrate. Why can’t we!” And we celebrated re-birth of another child of God and sister in Christ.

Blessings on high for another soul being brought into the glory of God
I am actually responding to the latest issue on rethinking the church as Jesus mission church, that is exciting and ask to open a dialog on that topic, so i can prayerfully share this to engage Central Church in Bakersfield, CA. Please let me know if tis is the way to interact or not. Again All Glory to GOD and much prayer for the newly baptized. Wade
What a beautiful mental picture I have of that…thank you!
Wow! Beautiful and awesome! Haven’t stopped by your blog in months, but glad I chose this day.
It doesn’t get any better than that…at least not in this life.
This is how we should celebrate a person’s choice to be baptized. Praise God for both the celebration and the decision of Toni Lee.
